Adoption specials and fostering opportunities help make the Yuletide gay for shelter pets
If the fates allow, faithful friends who are dear to Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC), Cheatham County Animal Control (CCAC), Maury County Animal Services (MCAS) and Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC) in Nashville will gather near a new family on Christmas Eve. These agencies are teaming up in December to offer $25 adoption fees to approved applicants at each location as well as special holiday fostering opportunities. Call or visit shelter websites for information about their adoption process. “Our hope is that Christmas Eve will be a ‘silent night’ at our shelters because all of the kennels are empty,” said WCAC Director, Ondrea Johnson. “What better time than the holidays to share your home with a rescue animal?”
One-year old Shannon is confident, friendly and affectionate with a lot of spunk and spirit. She will happily join you for any adventure and though she has been respectful and playful with other dogs at the animal center, Shannon seems to be more of a people pooch. Just like all adoptable cats and dogs at WCAC, she has been spayed, is microchipped and current on vaccinations. Visit Shannon and her furry friends today!
Kylo is a four-year-old lab mix that has a history of doing well with kids, cats and other dogs. He has been neutered and is microchipped. A non-profit organization, SCAMP will cover the cost of ongoing veterinary care that Kylo will need because he has tested positive for Heartworm. Come by CCAC to meet Kylo and the other adorable adoptables!
CCAC (www.ccactn.org) is open to the public 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; closed Wednesdays and Sundays. Hours may vary due to holidays. The shelter is located at 2797 Sam’s Creek Road in Pegram. Phone: (615) 792-3647
