The REALTOR® Good Works Foundation of Williamson County is pleased to make available to all Williamson County high school seniors the opportunity to apply for a $2,000 scholarship to use towards their higher education. In addition, a memorial scholarship, the Beverly Collins Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a deserving high school senior.
The application form needs to be returned no later than March 1, 2010. In addition to this application, the following items must be included in your packet:
High School transcript
A minimum of 2 letters of recommendation from individuals involved in your school, work or outside activities.
Once all packets have been received, the Scholarship Committee members will meet to review all scholarship applications. At that time, a number of candidates will be selected for personal interviews conducted by a minimum of 2 committee members at the WCAR office. These will be scheduled in April after school hours. Once all interviews have taken place, the Committee will select the scholarship recipients. Recipients will be selected based upon their academic achievements, extra-curricular involvement, personal character, and financial need. There will be an event scheduled in May to present plaques. Also, Committee members will attend school graduation/award ceremonies to present perpetual plaques to each school with the recipient’s name inscribed upon it.
