Brentwood City Commissioner Anne Dunn
The Friends of the Brentwood Library (FOBL) is proud to announce that Brentwood City Commissioner Anne Dunn is the first-ever recipient of its Friend of the Year award. Dunn’s dedication to the City of Brentwood and its library is longstanding. Since 1990, she has served with distinction on the Brentwood City Commission, and in 1997, she made history as the first woman elected Mayor of Brentwood—a role to which she was re-elected in 2003. Her trailblazing spirit has not only helped shape the direction of the city but has inspired many others along the way. Throughout the years, Dunn has been a dedicated FOBL member and a staunch advocate for public libraries. “We are proud to shine a spotlight on Anne Dunn, whose steadfast civic leadership has made an incredible difference over the years,” said FOBL President Tricia Allison. “Because of her unwavering support and advocacy, more people know about FOBL and its vast team of volunteers and events. This awareness helps FOBL continue to raise funds that go toward enhancing our library as a hub for learning, creativity, and connection.”
