NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2025) – St. Edward School first grader Luke McLean from Brentwood, Tenn., was selected as the first winner of Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee’s 16th annual Tennessee Titans Kids Captain contest. The 6-year-old had a moment to remember Sunday as he stood alongside Tennessee Titans captains at midfield for the pregame coin toss ahead of the team’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. The experience was part of the Titans’ Kids Captain contest, which gives young fans ages 6 through 12 years old four lower-bowl tickets, a parking pass, a red Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee cap, an official Titans jersey, and most notably, the rare chance to step onto the field as an honorary captain. Luke’s passion for the Titans runs deep. His grandfather has been a devoted season ticket holder since the team came to Nashville in 1999, and the McLean family has carried on that tradition for the past 13 years. Attending games together has become a special family ritual.

“Winning this contest means the world to Luke,” said his mother, Kelly McLean. “He’s a huge Titans fan, just like his dad and grandfather, and he has been proudly telling everyone that he gets to be the Kids Captain. We’ve had a countdown going, and he couldn’t wait to see the players up close, meet T-Rac, and hopefully meet Cam Ward.” When he’s not cheering on the Titans, Luke enjoys spending time outdoors and playing his second season of flag football. “It was an honor to witness Luke join his favorite team on the field during Sunday’s matchup and get a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Paul Sweatt, a Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee agent and agency manager in Williamson County. “Giving back to our customers and local communities is at the foundation of what we do.   • Dec. 28 vs. New Orleans Saints
Contest entries open three weeks prior to the Titans’ home football games listed above, and contestants can enter to win anytime throughout the fall season. Entrants must be residents of Tennessee, be ages 6 through 12, and have parental consent to participate. Winners will be notified approximately two weeks before their assigned game and must respond within 24 hours to claim their opportunity to shine on the field.
