Tuesday, March 8, 2022 | Event opens at 10:45 a.m. followed by the luncheon at noon at Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Cool Springs, 820 Crescent Centre Dr, Franklin, TN 37067. Our community is facing an early literacy crisis. Three out of four of Greater Nashville’s third graders are not reading on grade level. In Williamson County, 32 percent of students are not on track with their grade level. Children who have not developed basic literacy skills by the time they enter kindergarten are three to four times more likely to drop out in later years. This year’s Hart to Heart Luncheon will dive into our work to strengthen early literacy—and how the community can help—by exploring three United Way programs: Raise Your Hand and Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee.
