2020 Fundraiser Slated for October 12 at Prestigious Golf Club of Tennessee
NASHVILLE, TENN. – September 22, 2020 – Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee, a non-profit dedicated to providing social and emotional support to anyone impacted by cancer, will host its annual Gilda’s Club Golf Classic on Monday, October 12, 2020 with Zander Insurance as its newly-named presenting sponsor. Held at the prestigious Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs – one of America’s 50 Greatest Golf Retreats – the event is one of the local non-profit’s biggest annual fundraisers and enjoys a reputation as one of Greater Nashville’s premiere business networking events each fall.
“Zander Insurance Group has made a commitment to help ensure no one faces cancer alone through their ongoing corporate support of Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee,” said Harriet Schiftan, Gilda’s Club president and CEO. “As the 2020 Gilda’s Club Golf Classic presenting sponsor, Zander Insurance Group is making cancer support at no cost possible for thousands of Middle Tennesseans and their families. We are so grateful for their generosity.” Gilda’s Club Golf Classic will kick-off at 10:30 a.m. on October 12 with player check-in, the opening of the driving range, and a box lunch, according to Allen Huggins, owner of WH Properties and member of the Gilda’s Club Golf Classic committee. A shotgun start will follow at noon, and the event will wrap-up late afternoon with an awards ceremony and dinner. “Gilda’s Club has been working closely with the Golf Club of Tennessee to ensure the safety of our golfers,” Huggins said. “Players will be encouraged to bring their own masks, which are required inside the Club, as well as have the option to have a two-person or single-person cart for their day on the course. We’ll also be serving boxed meals. Safety is our top priority.” To learn more about hole and team sponsorship opportunities, which start at $1800, including play for four, contact Hayley Levy at hayley@gildasclubmiddletn.org or 615-329-1124.
